About us: High End Confections is a woman-owned, dietitian-tested, and chef-driven cannabinoid confectionary located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Founded in 2022, the year hemp-based edibles became legal in Minnesota, High End saw the need for unique, high-quality edibles (food products containing CBD, THC, and other functional ingredients) in the market. All of our products are made from lab-tested ingredients suited to specific diet types including gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, and low-sugar.
The company is also committed to using locally-made, eco-friendly and sustainable products, packaging, and ingredients whenever possible. Much of our packaging comes from recycled ocean plastic (there is plenty of it to go around) and we do what we can to limit that plastic returning to the environment.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is THC?
THC is the chemical responsible for most of the plant’s psychological effects, which can be derived from hemp or marijuana. On average, the effects last about two hours (sometimes more), and kick in 10 to 30 minutes after ingestion. Psychomotor impairment may continue after the perceived high has stopped, however.
What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is one of many different molecules known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBD has many beneficial properties and is commonly used to promote wellness physically, mentally, and emotionally.
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are active compounds produced by all cannabis plants. They account for most of the benefits of cannabis. Cannabinoids found in plants are technically called phytocannabinoids, while cannabinoids produced by the human body are called endocannabinoids.
How do they work?
Cannabinoids interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), which promotes homeostasis. The effects are a result of its interaction with the endocannabinoid system. CBD and THC impacts the ECS indirectly, most often through activation of outside receptors and interaction with enzymes.
What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?
Hemp and marijuana are both types of cannabis. Marijuana contains a cannabinoid known as THC. To be considered hemp, the THC content must be less than 0.3%, far less than any amount to get you “high”. To add, CBD offsets the psychoactive effects of THC.
What is CBD used for?
Many people use CBD to promote a state known as homeostasis, the body’s natural tendency to maintain a healthy balance in all its systems. Cannabinoids are an integral part of the human body’s ability to regulate and balance a wide variety of physiological systems. CBD is also used by some for specific purposes such as supporting a good night’s rest or maintaining well-functioning joints.
What does "broad spectrum" mean?
The term broad spectrum refers to CBD oil products that contain a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and other beneficial compounds found in hemp. While many CBD oil products are made using CBD isolate, Crested River broad spectrum oils maintain concentrations of the beneficial compounds that are found in the original hemp plant.
What about the benefits of taking broad spectrum CBD products?
The benefits of broad spectrum products are usually greater than the benefits provided by others, such as those containing just CBD isolate. This is due to what’s known as the entourage effect. The entourage effect occurs when compounds in the hemp plant, including cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, work together to produce even greater effects than just CBD alone. All Crested River products contain broad spectrum CBD oil. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.
Can I overdose on CBD or THC?
There is no record of anyone overdosing on CBD or THC. Taking a large amount is not considered to be life-threatening, but you may experience negative side effects. No two people are alike, so start at a smaller dose and gradually increase to find your therapeutic dose.
What kind of testing/analysis is performed on your products?
All High End Confections products go through testing by third-party labs to assure purity and accurate concentrations of cannabinoids.

How should I store CBD and THC products? Do I need to refrigerate?
We recommend storing your products in a cool place. Always keep CBD products in airtight containers and store them away from direct sunlight and heat, which may degrade certain compounds.
